The MIDI wind
VAYU turns breath into MIDI over plain USB, for your favourite DAW or any other MIDI software. There is no companion app and no driver in the way: it is a MIDI-compliant device, so the host sees it the moment it is plugged in.

Set from the display
The built-in display carries the settings: operating MIDI channel and CC, the lower and upper threshold of blow intensity, and the intensity curve and its shape. Settings can be saved for next use.

A valve, in hardware
Beyond the software settings, VAYU has a physical valve that adjusts air flow. That is what makes breath control of a virtual instrument precise and smooth rather than approximate.

Mouthpiece and platform
The mouthpiece is rubber — comfortable and durable. The device is platform independent: PC, Mac, Unix, or any MIDI-compliant device with a USB controller input.
